Slightly OFF Topic on WIN98 States May Seek To Block Windows 98 NEW YORK (AP) - A dozen states reportedly plan to try to block Microsoft from its June shipment of Windows 98, the much-awaited update to the company's Windows 95 operating system. The states plan to act within two weeks to halt shipments until they can hold hearings on Microsoft's alleged anti-competitive practices, according to ZDNet, a high-tech online news service owned by Ziff-Davis Publishing Company. Officials at attorneys general offices in several states declined to comment. bb
