John - just a minor addition to this assessment:

Whether they will have life after year 2000 and what are they doing NOW to secure that future. (example acquisitions/plans for acquisitions - IMRS, CBSL, COGIF, etc.)

They need to see the cash--- not projections or promises but $$$! Any negative news, no matter how minor has relatively long and harsh impact. Hype is still there and will increase--but cash is the price driver at this time in the form of earnings and projected earnings...IMO as time gets shorter earnings will become even more important...<<<
