Results of Gold Exploration Program in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Some confusion has occurred over Starpoint's April 21 news release which management would like to clarify.

The statement that "all samples collected contained gold" is misleading in that this can be said of any property, even ones with little gold. Results from Mambati are not background values but of interest from an economic geological perspective and are included below. A full interpretation of this data will be available at Starpoint's office in the recent report of Richards from which the original news release was quoted.

Reference is also made to a "7 km long eluvial gold resource defined in 1948 by Forminiere". Data supporting use of the word resource is old and incomplete and therefore the word "resource" has been changed in the final report to occurrence. It could be of interest that the eluvial occurrence had been partly mined by Forminiere in the late 1940's and early 1950's. Other areas of the occurrence are being mined today by artisinal miners and could be evaluated further by Starpoint for mining by Starpoint.

Finally, the phrase "43 continuous rock chip samples" is misleading as it was 43 samples, only a few which are contiguous that were made by collecting a continuous rock chip across the sample interval. Description of these samples are in the report by Richards available at Starpoint's office.

None of these clarifications change the material facts presented but management apologizes for any confusion that may have arisen.

The soil samples presented above were taken across and confirm the eluvial gold occurrence by their relatively high numbers. The soils could reflect dispersion away from the vein system described or to more extensive style of mineralization not yet exposed. Trenching has been recommended to check for this potential.

A finder's fee announced April 9th, 1998 of 1,000,000 shares, value $200,000, is payable on the Company's Congo properties, subject to regulatory approval.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
