John, re HWP: There was a mention in a tech column in WSJ Thursday that according to an IDC official, in sales figures to be released Monday a lot of people were betting that HWP would replace DELL as the fastest growing PC Co. in terms of retail sales. The official stated that HWP looked "pretty unstoppable" right now. I was going to buy a couple hundred shares myself yesterday morning for a short-term play but got held up in a meeting and missed out. How does everyone think HWP will do competing against CPQ? Best Buy and others had both companies' offerings for the new P-II 400 MHz machines featured in their ads in the Lexington and Louisville papers last Sunday and the Compaq deals blew HP out of the water.
