Greetings All,

the LS-120 technology looks like it has a chance to become the standard 1.44 drive in PC's and laptops in the near future.

I happen to be watching CNBC on Friday, and I viewed multiple commercials for the Super Disk. I then go to grab my mail, pick my copy of BusinessWeek, and on ~page 14, there is a two page ad. Being a technologist myself, I wanted to find out where I could put my money to capitalize on my belief in this technology.

I called the company to try and better understand the players in developing this technology. I then found this thread which had a post that mentions some of the players (MKE, IMN, CPQ, and Maxell).

The marketing is picking up on a BIG level regarding the LS120 technology, and this stock will be one of the beneficiaries after it's acceptance....

To recap, I think the technology is neat and will be accepted, but look for IMN to make big money on the disk media, and a few dollars on external drives for companies or persons not willing to buy a new computer to get the drive. I think a scuzzy application (made by Winstation) will be the fastest application (currently).

Happy Investing !!!

-Rob

P.S. I have not yet looked into when Sony plans on releasing their 200MB drive, but I agree this could be a threat depending on what type of penetration IMN can get before Sony gets to market.
