You really haven't been listening, have you?

Bill will pull a rabbit our his hat and all the negative indicators in the world will be rendered meaningless.

My favorite rabbit at the moment is to effectively rename Internet Explorer to be simply Explorer and remove the Internet Explorer icon from the desktop. Then if you wish to "browse" you simply open an ordinary Explorer window, which always shows you your local files by default. Next click on the "E-shaped" Explorer icon in the tree on the left and "bingo" you are viewing a web page. Note the "E-shaped icon", not the "I-shaped icon."

The only thing that has really happened then is that the Internet Explorer icon has been removed. The Internet browser functionality appears/is built into the OS.

Oh darn! I just looked in the Windows 98 Explorer. It's already been done...
