Please help me understand your position. Last December, after waiting for two years for Microsoft to attain a reasonable price, I finally gave in and bought at a split adjusted $66. The stock fell to a split adjusted $60 or so with relatively light volume over Christmas, and then rocketed upwards. [Note: I'm a long-term investor.]

I understand that you believe that in the short-term, something like this (in terms of the share price drop) will occur again. What I saw in December I attributed to non-professional fear coupled with relatively light volume.

What are you positing will occur now that will cause this major drop in the share price? The situation Microsoft is in hasn't changed since Christmas -- with the exception that Microsoft has released some stellar earnings since then. Microsoft was in December harassed by the government, conspired against by competitors, and villified by the press.

I don't ask to be argumentative -- I ask because I'm attempting to time my next buy of the company -- and I'd like to understand your reasoning for the next major drop in share price.
