We state in our registration process that your information "will not be given to any outside organization."

With the acquisition of SI, go2net acquires that promise.

We decided it was considerably safer to join a top-notch management team and organization than to try to build one around us. There was a LOT of room for screwing it up, especially if we went the Venture Capital route.

The end-point is actually very similar, but we pulled it off without substantial risk [in our minds] to SI. We also saved a very precious year or two in an environment where opportunity deteriorates quickly with the passage of time.
