Is that how you are characterizing Newt's action - just asking for a divorce? You think that demonstrates family values going to a hospital and pressuring the signing of divorce papers when you are recovering from surgery. Is that the family values you support? I didn't support the war in Viet Nam. I was at protest rallies. I smelled tear gas and saw people beaten for protesting a war, that has now come to be universally known as a mistake. How many more lives would have been lost if there had been no protest? How many more of my generation would have had to die upholding a failed policy and a corrupt self-serving, self justifying effort to support its continuation? Just because you are in the military doesn't mean that you have a corner on patriotism. Pulling out a bloody flag and saying that those that protested on any soil were twisted, serves no purpose except reopen the wounds of a nation that was deeply divided over an issue with many sides.
