Trading portfolio up about +20% since Mar 1

Still in the black! I cancelled all my stop loss orders for several reasons. First, because of the logistic nightmare of keeping track of all those orders. Second, to avoid stop running, one of the advantages of 20 minute delayed quotes, by the time I find out that a stock has hit my mental stop of -10% buyers came in!

I could have easily have taken a loss on several positions in the above portfolio but decided to hold. I feel broad market weakness is the reason these stocks are down. I may regret not getting out while the getting is good!

I have been selling a stock on any bad news, or even news that may be perceived as bad, ie. IVCR, SBGI

Studying winning and losing trades. Nearly every winning trade suffered a drawdown of only -3%. While holding a losing stock past -5%, hoping for a reversal,
and waiting to -10% before stopping out never became a winning trade.

Therefore, Modified Trading Plan to include larger position size to reduce the number of open positions and tighten the stop loss to -3%.

A couple of winning positions did suffer a drawdown more than 3% but only on the opening bell, because of profit taking and Market Maker stop running.

Strong stocks DO tend to close strong. If a winning trade is about +10% and the afternoon trading is looking weak, I will now close out the whole position for a 10% profit and move on. This would have preserved paper profits from gains in GTAX, NBTY, BMCS, DLTR.

ACAI, GDYS are two stocks that played very well, sold half for +10% and the rest at +20% then the stock tanked. The stocks now re-appeared on scans awaiting re-entry.

I don't know about the number of lurkers on this thread. I feel like a scribe documenting a journey through a minefield!

Good Luck and Be Careful!
