Sire:

<<I offer the "other" side of the coin. I never said there was no Y2K problem. I personally believe it won't be as bad as most are saying. ie: end of civilization as we know it, economic crash, end of the world. I don't buy that.>>

Where do you get the idea that "most" are expecting a doomsday scenario? What I believe Todd was saying in you coming on so strong, demanding proof when we have people not interested in proving anything. They are offering ideas and links identifying possible situations and how they may prepare...and as I stated in an earlier post that I will be prepared for 3~4 months the same as I normally would for a natural disaster.

No one but you has stated anything about the end of the world. Didn't you once state you like to debate? For me it's beyond debate and just rehashing. Like I said we're not here to prove anything. We, and by we I mean those who believe there is a Y2K problem, are here to discuss the measures are we taking for however big or small of a problem it presents.

And in the course of these discussions I got some good links from CK and Dan Sheridan for things I plan to add to my house for cost savings and energy efficiency. These I believe are why most of us are here...after all the threads theme is "Y2K Personal Contingency Planning" not 'Y2K The Sky Is Falling', is it?

Todd is probably right in suggesting the Y2K Hoax thread if you want to get into a debate. As far as I'm concerned your welcome to stick around; just try and stick to the subject matter; like, "What you're not doing because nothing's been proved but just in case..."

This as well is IMHO.
