El Se¤or Bear,

Don't make a simple judgement about this. Apple has dropped a number of products like printers ands monitors that puffed up revenues but, frankly, weren't the greatest products. The number of CPUs shipped are up from its traditionally peak 1Q and margins are at a two-year high.

What most people don't realize is that AAPL, with OS8 debuting had 1/3 of *all* OS sales in 1997. Claris continues to post record revenues.

On the hardware side G3s accounted for some 50% of the 650,00 boxes shipped last quarter. And there are more than 25 million Mac-users worldwide that, historically, have an 80+% repurchase rate.

Coming up we have hardware -- AIO Artemis, G3 Powerbooks, Gossamer IIs, G4s and the much-rumored $500-1000 Columbus thing-a-dickey.

And software -- Rhapsody, Allegro/Allegro-Lite, Sonata, Filemaker, QuickTime 3.0.

Remember, revenues are a trailing indicator of good products and a sound marketing strategy. Add in a low cost structure and you have good profits.

Don't go by the rear-view, look at the road ahead. Lengthen your horizon to a year and I think you'll do *very* well from these levels.

You don't want to get caught hibernating do you?
