If he meant that 98 sales will increase the 32-bit OS installed base, and THEREBY increase demand for 32-bit apps, I would agree with that. I'm on the fence about 98. We may very well see a massive enterprise upgrade tidal wave due to its enhanced stability, better support for centralized administration, and ... ------ Y2K compliance!! ------- I think that could actually propel 98 sales to the boatload level.
