thanks Rich; studied some of those at the U. (long time now - actually, i remember watching the people army participating in the "newest" technology of using the punch card in the early 70s ). Java appears to be a beginning step, however, to a new generation of programming in cluster arrayed languages. a single cluster, in the very near future, i suppose will replace a PC OS (the human body, as it were is "cluster arrayed" with individual cells, each cell representing a cluster). thus, it would seem that msft will soon need to function within the context of clusters. they already do, but not to the extent that java gives, since all of java is cluster arrayed. isn't this correct?
