I take it, Thomas, that when you talk about "one kick-ass world govenment", you are not referring to the UN? What would your idea be of how to get there from here? Not in its current form. I think the US is a good start as a model. Constitution, democracy, freedom of speech etc.. Maybe a good way to start would be to take a nasty place like Rwanda and make it a democracy. Send a half million troops and run it like a military state until everyone is educated in American government. Rotate teenagers through the states on a mass scale - sending them back with the knowledge of how screwed up they are in their current state. Does this sound too radical? I think its better than letting people butcher each other in the middle of the night with machetes. Tom
