When taking half life into account remember that to overcome any issues of transportation all the manufacturer has to do is add a little more Pd103 (or I125 for that matter for iodine seeds) to compensate for the time in transit. This is called calibration. The product is therefore "calibrated" for the day of arrival (or any other day should a company want to inventory for example).
