On 4/17 Cowen & Co. raised EPS estimates on AVEI after the company posted its 3Q numbers.... Cowen continues to rate issue "strong buy"
believing strong momentum in US market and new product offerings will continue to fuel sales/eps acceleration..... and, raised FY98 from
$1.30 to $1.65, FY99 from $1.85 to $2.50, FY00 from $1.90 to $2.60 and FY01 from $2.35 to $3.00 a share..... Cowen has a price target of $47-$49 a share.....

Remember, the 3Q eps of $0.64 , was WELL ahead of the First Call estimate of $0.44, vs year-ago profit of $0.07 a share..... what's really nice is they only have to beat .07 next quarter (est .45 is well below reality given all indications of recent performance and companies own expectations)... do ya believe that doable??? well maybe:-)

Solomon Bros indicated last week on CNBC their belief that AVEI & MDT have a clear tech advantage over GDT....

That a sell off occurred seems to be the market MO right now.... and common anyhow in eps season.... most everything is giving back recent gains.... DHI a favorite housing stock has had one good piece of news after another and still closed out the week at a nice loss.......

This is when the pros go shopping....

FINE, IMO bears little fundamental resemblance to AVEI.... and was a fraud case.... trading way above its group multiples.... eps/rev not accelerating anything like AVEI's....

To suggest that AVEI is hiding some material fact as you have is tantamount to screaming fire in a crowded theater.....

You have NO basis for such rumor mongering..... especially considering selloffs in this season and market are the NORM... AVEI is trading well within its uptrend channel and has bounced off support on volume.... still the near term trend is down and should be respected.... new positions should not be established until we get confirmation that 32-33 will hold...

All said and done, your opinion may prevail.... but, it is way to early to be leaping to what must be considerd WILD conclusions based on the technical evidence at this stage..... most would be well advised not to committ any funds during eps season which is wild and wooly no matter the company... to suggest a material fact has caused the selloff when selloffs are normal just doesn't make sense...
