One should not read too much into IBM's license... IBM owns one of the worlds most valuable intangible assets, it's name. Will expend lots of resource to protect it. A small license fee is a small price to pay to support the little guy. The little guy is a specific market target of IBM. Have not done well there in the past and have made some mistakes but looking to improve. As for e-business (note the little e), The main focus of the e-business practice will be to sell the hardware, software and services to build a customers e-business site. Sites that have been built by predominantly IBM content, will have the right to carry the IBM e-business logo. There are some other perks that come along with that. As I understand the patent (and I'm new to gift), it will have little to do with IBM e-business. btw, not invested in GIFT. Just watching for now. good luck to all.
