FTJoe, I value your comments/contributions, but I also recall Matty G. raving early on about how intricate and sophisticated the Echomedia website was. Since this is his area of work, and he purports to be CEO of his family's business in this area, I have to believe there is some merit to his early comments (no matter that he later soured on investment because of the uncertainties and questions raised by the Wired articles regarding the identity and character of management).

The issue, I thought, re technology, was whether the Sesame Ad technology was viable or not. I have not heard much more about that since last fall, unfortunately. I was presuming Charles Rose was having a hand in that effort, and do not know what happened to that after his role changed to a "strategic alliance" (whatever that means).

I still view this company and venture as a project/diamond in the rough. I doubt if it could have afforded SIM business if it were a money machine at the time of the acquisition so I view the purchase of it (with all of its warts and problems) as a "work out" investment requiring some patchwork and tinkering, but still an essential part of the puzzle for turning this company into a viable and competitive internet company.

Hope I am right, but who knows for sure.
