I love the Net and spend many hours checking out SI, WSJ etc. I would never access the Net from AOL, however, I do have a AOL account and I find it very usefull and inexpensive. I can find investing info fast and conveniently on AOL. I just download all the groups I want to read and spend only minutes a day logged in. Yes I could find most of this info on the net but I would have to hit a half dozen sites and wait out the growing online traffic jams. I don't access the net through AOL (way too expensive), but I do believe AOL has a place to fill in the online world. I'm afraid many of the free sites I now vist for info on the Web will soon be charging money. This free ride can't go on for ever. For my money and time it pays to have a AOL and an Internet provider account. IMHO AOL is one of the few online plans making money and I believe they will be around for a long time. Is AOL stock overpriced? Maybe. I have a small position that I will ride out. AOL has surprised me before on its staying power and I'm in for the long haul. Good luck to all!
