As always i thoroughly enjoy your posts and thoughts...<g>...
As you state your reasons for your thinking, and of course your entitled to these reasons...i have to disagree on a couple of these past related events...
TOM i feel we are currently in a different place & time in these markets...We are liquidity driven at the present time...a BIG factor when we're trying to chase fewer and fewer shares of quality companies...
We are also driven by technology...productivity, and other factors that ensure's a trending situation never before seen IMO, in the history of these markets...
We are growing exponentially by leaps & bounds at breakneck speed TOM...Just think about the recent discoveries in Medical-Drugs-Technology-Biotechnology etc etc...they are simply astounding as we move toward the 21st Century...
TOM our World Wide Capacity to excell in all areas of commerce and trade simply have changed the playing field of years gone buy...The Technoloigical Evolution/Revolution has propelled us in to the unknown waters of investments not seen in this century...
The simple fact of the "mindset" of the average "joe" out there has created a floor on this market, never before seen...I keep saying this phrase but it's true...TOM there are "NO SELLERS" NONE!!!!
Oh i'm not talking about the fundies, hell these guys are showboat profit driven lunatics...in competion with themselves...Hey i'll bet you that I could put together a group of people here on SI, say on just 3-4 threads I follow, and KILL the street and the fundies...EASY!!! we would have our own mutual fund....
I eliminate fund mgrs. because they must stay pretty much fully invested at all times...all they do is churn their accts' every time a sector rotates and then buys them back after all their friends have unloaded these stocks...they all have a herd mentality..All you have to do is watch the crazy MF as it runs into & out of stocks they're buying & selling...it's amazing...
However, Worldwide Investors are buying hard right now, with NO let up in sight...I don't think it will ever abate again..
Sure we'll have 10-20% corrections, yes there will be dips and bumps along the way..BUT IMO along the way is nothing more than a blip in the scheme of things...
No TOM, this is the greatest & best chance of our lifetime to create wealth...and of course beyond as well...the lightening speed of this liquidity/technolgy driven market has only JUST begun my friend from Calif...Just begun!!!!
OK TT, it's a bet..AOL-YHOO-LCOS 1 year from now???? an easy double guy...a full double....Hey if i'm wrong i'll send you Tastycakes from good ole Philly, all assorted stuff that I like<g>...OK???
I don't care what the PE's are today for the Internets stocks..each and every Quarter these co's will gain income so vast it will make our heads spin...and profits will fly to their bottom lines...watch with wonder and amazement...the potential income is so vast it's not thinkable right now...Hundreds of millions of people will be on the Net...PC prices have plummeted, Web TV, & Set top boxes for less then 500.00 will be here this year...Unbeliveable amounts of money pouring into the coffers of these well positioned companies...
I know it's hard to fathom all this<g> but TT I am NEVER wrong!!!!
