How did I lose the Apple arguement? You recommended shorting the stock at it's decade low, it subsequently rebounded by more than a factor of 2, you changed your opinion well into the ride up.
Instead of acknowledging your profitless drivel, I road Apple up and have profited handsomely from doing so. What have you done with Apple?
On Corel, you have been bearish since last fall. You continue to be bearish on it, even as it continues to rise.
The fact of the matter is, if one had listened to your advice 5 months ago, they would have been out of a lot of money today. And, save for brief windows of opportunity, following your "advice" on Apple throughout 1997 would have probably proven disasterous. The jury is still out on Corel, but if the events of the past 5 months are any indication, you will be wrong on that too.
I have owned about 55 stocks over course of the past decade. I've only realized one loss. Maybe Corel will be the 2nd, but I doubt it.
P.S. Did you ever hold a position in Apple? If not, why not? |
