MM and ALL: Got this in my e-mail from an individual is apparently informed about both the LOJACK/BOOMERANG systems... Comments invited... "The number one biggest drawback of the Boomerang and the Lojack and other such systems is that you must KNOW that your car has been stolen. Then you must call the dispatch or monitoring station. The problem with that is, lets say you park your $100,000 Benz down near the Skydome, you go to the game, after that you stop for some dinner and a couple brewskees. So 4 hours later you return to where you left the car but it's not there. A lot can happen to a car in that amount of time. It will be gone. Obviously this is not always going to be the scenario. But the fact that you must KNOW your car is gone is a major drawback. The other big problem with the Boomerang and like systems is that you must "home in" on the vehicle with a specially equipped van or other vehicle. There must be sufficient quantities of these vehicles located in ALL of the cities you are trying to cover (I think they suggest 900 cities...give me a break). What if the tracking vehicle gets caught on the 401 near the airport at 5:00pm????? This vehicle(s) must be manned 24 hrs a day that's a lot of $$$$ in vans and manpower. Those are the major things there are others. None of these things are important when it comes to this stock making some money. The fact is the Boomerang is out there now, it isn't selling very well really, but it is a great story! Great stories sell!
