Hi Mike,

I do believe 3D quality game experiences are not only possible but currently available. Quake and Quake II play very well over a connection speed of just 28.8K.

In regard to the MCI packet loss issue I don't have a whole lot of insight into the exact nature of the loss. I can say that all of the large providers experience occassional outages and problems. I expect these problems to improve as the software and hardware matures. I am not overly concerned since on the whole the distributed nature of the Internet makes outages from one provider only adversely affect a portion of the entire Internet population.
