Hi Bonnie,

There's an article in the Sunday NYT's business section detailing the opportunities in asset management companies;

By EDWARD WYATT

Over the last three years, it would have been hard for an investor to go wrong buying the large mainstream stock funds managed by some of the country's biggest fund companies.

But one could have done far better -- one-third to two-and-a-half times better -- buying shares in some of the companies that manage those funds, like T. Rowe Price Associates, Franklin Resources or the Nvest Companies, formerly known as the New England Investment Companies.

I'll post the link but registration may be necessary; it is free.
