Excellent Macker. This is what Jimmy has been trying.(EXCUSE ME) been doing for years now. He saw the potential. He bought excellent technology. He offers to help countries who need the revenues from their own telecom services to run their own countries. He does not go in to take over but to build, to assist, to bring less developed countries up to speed in this technological revolution as far as telephony goes. He as you say lets them save face. He allows them the dignity of achieving this on their own terms rather than the degradation felt when you let someone come in take over and walk all over you.He goes in not only as a businessman but in a sense a friend, and friends are oft rewarded handsomely. In my humble opinion this is the way more and more companies will operate in the future, with a spirit of cooperation and mutual benefits rather than the WERE BIGGER SO WE'LL TAKE OVER ATTITUDE. The world has indeed become a small place, in no small part to the advent of the information age. It is now more important than ever to be up front , honest and equitable in dealings with all nations. Even the smallest and least developed nations are nowhere near as naive as they were not to long ago. Nationalistic attitudes are starting to give way to a sense of world community.
