Hi guy's found this thread through another post that Zeuspaul made and it looks like the place to post my question. Kinda hard to explain but here goes : I have be having a lot of trouble with Netscape lately have had the same prob with both 4.04 and 4.05 and seems to be getting worse ! Sometimes when I go to a site all of a sudden my monitor starts to look like it is going through a shredder---- lines start going across the screen-- computer freezes up and the only way to shut it down is to kill the power---- then when scandisc run I will get a msg -- Users\alf\cache\fat file is being misread there may be missing data tward the end of the file and other programs may not be able to read. Then other times I get the same msg. only User\alf\netscape hst. file I have deleted these files thinking this may help--no luck Have uninstalled and reinstalled many times-- no luck Checked for virus-- nothing If anyone has any Ideas I would love to hear them this is driving me nuts ! One more ? -- can I delete everything in windows temp folder ? Thanks for any help or advice Tim
