I read the Oil/Energy News on the Web and noticed that Nuevo Energy just reported earnings of 0.40 for the third quarter and $1.12 for the first nine months. Nuevo is selling on NYSE at $51/share. I also listed Oil Explorers and Producers on Zacks and selected a company that had a very low P/E (20) and promising growth. The company was Swift Energy and then research provided the following-- earnings for the year are $1.09. Swift Energy is at $27 and rising on recent upgrades. CWEI has earnings of 0.45 for the quarter, 0.96 for the first nine months, probable earnings of $1.50 for the year, and a price of 13?
