As an investor, I don't share your philosophy. You and Novell seem to have adopted the philosphy of we will endure, then emerge. I have been an investor for a while, and have seen CEO changes, billion dollar application blow-outs etc. This time the endurance test seems to be more painful than in the past. I would much prefer a leadership philosophy of trying to chart a vision, then become the leader instead of losing the leadership and pressing forward to regain it. As regards the nonchalant "we will again emerge" attitude, I find it smug. I want to see Novell become more pro-active in the future so it will not lose leadership so it can fight back to regain investor confidence.
