Dear freeus :
To me spiritual freedom is not the only type or kind of freedom that "matters".
My first freedom, and it is given by God is the freedom to reject His love, it is the freedom to sin willfully, it is the freedom to abide by laws that originate from my own point of reference, the freedom to reject the laws of society, the ten commandments, the laws of love found in the new covenant.
From a very crucial viewpoint, this freedom is the freedom that matters the most to me. The worst imprisonment that I could possibly suffer would be the robotic role that I would play in a "Star Wars" mentality.
The worst possible fate that I could envision for my soul would be to NOT have the freedom of choice to SIN. Forget the possibility of original sin, and the weakness of the flesh. I am talking about, passionate, premeditated, unadulterated, SIN..
This is where all freedom must originate; for it only at that point that mankind realizes that God has trusted us and entrusted us and loved us and created us all as free moral agents, and given us the responsibility and authority to care for His creation that we can begin to serve Him.
