ALL: ASND hits the Big Time! If you open the latest issue of Fortune Magazine (April 27 cover date) you will find Ascend Communications has officially graduated to the big leagues. No, we're not a Fortune 500 company, but we did make it on to the list of what is called the Fortune 1000. They list both the main 500 companies (the classic Fortune 500), and then also the 500 "next biggest" companies. Where did we net out? 924 out of 1,000. That sounds low on the list, but consider this staggering statistic: there are now more than a thousand companies in the US with more than 1 billion dollars in annual revenue.
