"...Novell has faced competition before..." Not really. 2 points: NT Server and Warp Server are very capable file-and-print sharing environments, while earlier IBM/Microsoft products were buggy, RAM-intensive, and slow. NT Server and Warp Server may be NetWare's first real competition from the customer's viewpoint. NT Server and Warp Server are also good app servers. And: NetWare is proprietary, circa-1982 technology. You need to address these 2 perceptions if you're to talk to potential customers about Novell's future products and technologies.
