1. lu last november offered 35 for asnd, which asnd turned down. livingston is in ras, which competes with asnd, albeit at a lower level.

2. asnd has is turning into an atm company via its cscc acquisition. with yuri and livingston, lu could enter the same areas given their name recognition.

3. i believe lu is now targeting csco and asnd, and will not be purchasing asnd this october, asnd has become to pricey.

4. the intc-cpq rumor i did not respond to because i found it devoid of common sense. if intc purchased a pc compnay this would prompt others to push amd and cyrix.
