Independent distributor...In the longer run I don't think any independent will run away with that much market share that any one will claim "biggest independent DVD producer" There will be a few major players and DISK will be one. As you know my DVD bet is on Nimbus. I still think Disk is playing DVD catch-up right now, as you know they have been taking a bath on LD sales for the last year. For a while before DISK got into DVD they were bad-mouthing DVD to protect their LD stranglehold. There will be alot more players in DVD then there was in LD.

I still think this latest run up has to do with a buy-out or merger. What Co. can have its stock price run up 100% in a day with out a single word of news. I have not read one word (recently) on DISK. I think that earlier post about SEC rules on small cap stocks was trying to suggest that *maybe* someone was trading on inside info or price manipulation of some kind. If there is a buy out who would you consider as the buyer? I remember in an earlier post you thought an internet book deal with disk might be in the works. Is there any substance to that speculation? I know they are working on a distribution center but was there any mention of web business?

Nevertheless I am really HAPPY to see DVD coming into its own these days. The News on Paramount is great for DVD. Can you imagine how many copies of Titanic will be sold? Maybe thats it! Disk gets paramount exclusive! Wouldn't that be sweet. One more big studio to go...FOX I think they will be on the DVD train soon as well. All DVD players will benefit over the next year, it is just hard to pick who will be at the top in the end.
