1. The quote I used from the release for Indonesia was only on the topic of Call Re-Origination. It appears that Indonesian regualtions do not allow Call Re-Origination, as was in the article posted, this is quite common in many countries. Regarding Leased lines in Indonesia, I go with you on that, because I know you looked into it, and I have not, and what you have stated fits my understanding of what is necessary, regarding the need for Leased Lines for Long Distance service, but not a factor, there for Call Re-Origination, since it is not allowable.
2. Is a bit of my question, which is why the need to determine: a. Will Call Re-Origination be done via the gateways? b. Will Call Re-Origination be ustilized through the existing structure of the Telco with whom DGIV has their agreement(s)? c. Or both, using one ntil the other is in place?
If a, then yes, my understanding is that DGIV wold need to have the Installation and other necessities in place, in order to place a call. This option takes longer, but with a much higher profit margin, due to the double cost savings of IT and Call Back.
If b, then no, I am under the impression that Leased lines are not required and that the Call Re-origination can be done without Infrastructure costs, just the piggy back to the Telco being utilized. This option is quicker to the revenues, but longer to the profits, due to the incurred charges.
If c, then the best of both worlds. They start on the Telco based Call Re-origination and then migrate to the IP gateway, once up and running. That gives the advantage of immediate revenues, and near term profits, for these calls.
As to which, well I won't say where the answer lies, as some call it an absurdity to say, but I would imagine that an Employee of DGIV could give a much more detailed analysis, Though I would never suggest calling them.<GGG>
3. I am not sure what the requirements are, on the US end of the spectrum. The call comes to a computer that reads the phone number, then calls it back from the US, automatically, thus changing the direction of the call, going from to, to from.<G> Is a leased line necessary in that case? I am not sure, but I'll look through some of my Call back links tonight and see if I can find out, if we haven't come up with the answer by then.
Call Re-origination is a natural add-on for IT, and has been used to build several very successful companies, such as IDTC. How DGIV will utilized it will be interesting to see unfold. There are many ways to bring the revenue in, and the creative ones use every method available.
