Newmonts' cost/oz would be an "all inclusive" cost. Property, development, extraction, etc. taken into consideration. They also have deposits that are amenable to low cost heap leaching. My opinion is that based on what we know so far, it is not feasible to put a dollar figure on the FL deposit. Not only do the reserves need to be proved up, but an economic recovery method is required, one that can be scaled up to make the venture a viable one. One other thing to consider is whether the state of Ca would allow a major mining operation close to an environmentally sensitive area. If it was mining friendly Nevada, we could be more optimistic. California, hmmmmm, I wonder? Just playing the Devils' advocate ;-).
