Shane, just read your report on LSI that was 'published' in one of the investor mags. (Forget which one, brain sieve these days.) What a wonderful write-up! Engineers are not supposed to be literate: you have violated all the natural laws. Well reasoned, fact based, even handed. Kudos, kudos.
Final report on my PC shopping experience (you know, the one that started 2 months ago when I reported not being able to buy a DVD from Dell, thus inducing heart fibrillations for you). Well, wound up with the good folks at Micron; configured it on their web site (which, BTW, is one of the best I ran in to), but then had two questions so called a sales rep. Very decent chap, smart guy. By mistake, I had deselected DVD drive. Guy said: "look, I'm not trying to up sell you, but I really think you should modify your order in two ways: (1) get a natural keyboard, for $25 I swear by the thing and I'm on a machine all day long (2) get a DVD drive, first gen was a dud and I wouldn't touch 'em, but these 2nd gen are just great and worth the $150."
Naturally, I got the DVD so when LSI's next earnings report is out, I expect them to beat expectations by at least $.000000000012/sh. Hope this doesn't count as insider information :)
Regards, Mike Doyle
