That is a very interesting and difficult question. I think our souls are little piece of god and are trying to evolve tothe point where they can reunite with god. In that sense, I think we all recieve instruction from god, but few listen. I think there are two basic emotions, Love and fear. When you do things from the basis of love, you are living according to Gods instructions, IMO.
As far as a picture of God, I have a small problem with that. I have never understood how God could come to earth or represent himself as a blond haired blue eyed man, or a brown skinned women, or an Asian, etc., etc. Why would god alienate a vst majority of the population?
Since god can clearly take any form he/she would desire? how would he/she choose? It is my belief that God would come in the form that would lead to the clearest understanding of his/her message. that form would be diffeent for everyone. I thinkthe same God would appear to an Asian speaking an Asian language, A European as a similar person, etc.
I think God would by necessity appear as a different form to different people. Why appear solely as blond haired, blue eyed , european in the middle east? I never could understand that.
