ARTT doesn't compete with WCII in the main CLEC business. They are pure wholesale (which WCII seems to have de-emphasized in the last year). Obviously, WCII management believes there is no such thing as too much 38GHz spectrum. I'd be interested to hear from those who understand the technology better (Ric D.?) what the reasoning is. i.e., what is the marginal value of owning more slices of the same spectrum in one city? There's the obvious -- it's a barrier to competitors using the same technology -- but what are the other advantages? Is a slice of spectrum worth more to somebody who already has some of the same spectrum, or less?
