I'm curious. Are you disappointed as a potential *consumer* that wanted a cheap G3 or are you disappointed as a *shareholder* who wants AAPL to offer a low-cost laptop.

If the latter, then 1400C/133/16/CDs are selling at J&R here in New York for $1699.

These are entirely adequate machines for most users. Also, they're G3 upgradeable.

IMO, until AAPL puts out a legitimate $500 appliance, it considers its discontinued inventory to be its low-end strategy.
