Ramsey, welcome back. Did you see Chris Reeder on your travels? Thanks for the comments. MULTIPLE cellphones!! Wow! That will cause very fast customer migration to the best systems and confirms what I was saying ages ago, that people will cheerfully biff out their less effective cellphones when a better system comes along. The other costs are so high, they won't be worried about a hundred dollars or two to upgrade to a better cheaper system.

When their rotten analog battery has gone flat, they'll be babbling away on CDMA. That's an aspect I hadn't thought of. The best battery life gets the most calls!! That will really put pressure on talk time. Casually telling customers to keep rows of batteries on their belt will get its comeuppance very fast indeed. Making out that people aren't too worried about battery life will get short shrift too!!

So China will be the biggest market. You didn't actually say that, but it looks increasingly likely.

Gee, I'm trying to think of something political for you, but am drawing a blank right now. Well, the boss of China [not Deng - the real one] popped into New Zealand yesterday. They seem to like to come here for some reason. I suspect it is a kind of neutral ground or something. Heck Michael Jackson is here too. Maybe just nice and Zen-like here. Just the blissful bahhh of sheep and zephyrs of wind in the trees.
