I been surfing about the web and finding that investing's community
fear of interest rate increase regards the home building industry is so ingrained that
it would appear that no amount of reasoned argument will prevail.
This from a post from DHI that puts forth a reasoned argument,but
I am beginning to feel that arguments like this will fall on deaf ears and I will be forced to sell at my cost basis and it makes me mad all this wasted energy but one can not fight the trend--

Keller attributed part of the company's healthy growth story over the past
year to consumer confidence and a flourishing economy, which have
allowed house prices to rise at a steady clip. He speculated that interest
rates would have to blow past 8% before the homebuilding business would
face a downturn.

Heck I remember a few years ago when the interest rate was around 12% and people were still
borrowing to buy houses. Now some people believe that if interest rates go above 8% that
people will decide not to buy. Since Horton is building in a lot of growth areas, they should be
able to sell houses even if the interest rate rises. --poster was
nukecll on yahoo! thread,but truth is,these stocks are going to be
held down by a doctrine,not a reasoned argument.
