Ha! That was how I first met Jean-Louis Gassee. We were having a discussion on CompuServe about the upcoming change of Macintosh color from beige to platinum. I made an eloquent case for the maintenance of beige. JLG told me that the focus groups had voted and that the decision had already been made. I was heartbroken, of course.

Now they are going to take away the logo. How depressing. Sure, Steve Jobs likes it. Does he ever wear anything but black?
