Jeff: I agree about keeping one's perspective but I think there are people, possibly many on this thread, who feel the problem will be much worse than you and I, and they are taking what they believe to be reasonable precautionary steps. I wouldn't label them as having no backbone (which I think your post implied) if they are taking steps to protect themselves and warn others of potential documentable problems Y2K might present. vpelt
