This is good news. Roche Molecular Systems and AFFX plan to produce new instrumentation that will bring AFFX into the high-throughput diagnostic market. I think this is the first time we have read of AFFX entering this part of the gene testing market.

They also plan to sell commercial diagnostic kits for HIV and the p53 cancer gene, using the current Hewlett Packard instrumentation. Commercial. I like seeing that, as opposed to research.
