Gabriel, I think we are all in for some very good news!

The Dataquest data has the lower US sales data. The data does not include server sales. I am not clear if workstations are included.

The Dataquest data has Dell at 1.539 million units worldwide. (This is with the lower of Dataquest U.S. units of 915,000 vs the IDC data of 941,000 units). To get to Dell's total sales we would need to add in server sales since they not included and possibly workstations.

Dell has severs/workstations (Enterprise Systems) producing 10% of revenues last quarter.

My calculation I posted to Jim was in error as it did not consider servers not being included.

Dell may have gross revenues up to $4.4 billion vs the $4 billion I posted to Jim.

This could easily put Dell over 50 cents/share for earnings.

Your thoughts?

Pat
