g'day all, some of you may remember me, I still lurk around even though I ve not taken a position. With all this focus on Y2K, is there any danger for the co to lose its focus on its core business [this is a matter of fact question - no ulterior motive]? One of the reasons I ask is that a friend of mine is working for a UNIX shop and he is using PVCS, but he has once briefly commented that the shop is looking at CLEAR CASE. I don't know much about the latter product except I own a little bit RATL and know it has a large footprint. However, with the UNIX box getting bigger and bigger [to differentiate itself from the PC box,] it seems that large footprint is not a concern.

Anyone knowing ISLI beyond its Y2K offing can certainly help me to understand more, such as are they competing products, like my friend has implicated [he is an application guy, so he may not be a 100% on the ball] etc TIA
