Holding envelope to forehead . . . .
"IDTI will be trading in the $12-16 range for the next 6-12 months, and will drive many a patient speculator to drink heavily". And you can hold me to that James!
All seriousness aside, I sold at $14 after holding on for over 18 agonizing mos - I averaged in at $11. I watched it flounder below $10 and hit $16 several times, quite consistently. I just could not take another quarter of this, especially since there are some MUTUAL FUNDS (ugh) doing much better annualized!
Last year, a former IDT fan flamed out of this thread proclaiming that IDTI is a trader's dream, and should be treated that way until there is a noticeable shift in their treatment of shareholder value. I agree. I have all sorts of faith that at some point (here comes another prediction) IDTI will figure it out.
I know, I know, they have awesome diversification, a potential home run in the C6 (quickly turning into a triple, perhaps even a ground-rule double??) and their management has bought rather than sold. I admit that they are much better positioned than a year ago but - in my opinion - they still have a poor grasp on what Wall Street wants/needs/demands to hear.
I wish I could give more than emotional opinion at this stage, but as a "veteran" of this clunker, I must vent:) Also, Rob S and a few others have done an incomparable job of getting the facts to us.
By the way, all of this clarification about opinion vs. fact is hooey! We all enter this forum knowing that the information shared here is intelligent speculation at best . If it wasn't, then we'd all be so rich that we wouldn't have to spend our time in front of these damn computers looking for an edge!
Rob and Co., please keep kicking out the great info -you all have done a great job of keeping the facts straight. I would go so far as to say that you have helped greatly in keeping this stock attractive to the individual investor. Lord knows why . . .
