Thursday April 23, 4:08 pm Eastern Time Company Press Release Truevision Reports Third Quarter Results SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1998--Truevision (NASDAQ:TRUV - news) today announced financial results for its third fiscal quarter ended March 28, 1998. Net sales for the quarter were $8.0 million, compared with $10.0 million in the prior quarter and $11.9 million for the same period last year. Net income for the third quarter was $245,000 or $0.02 per share versus a loss of $1.5 million or $0.12 per share for the same period last year.
Lou Doctor, president and chief executive officer, stated, ''Our revenue this quarter was affected by a shortfall in our OEM business which was primarily due to a delayed product launch by one of our major customers. On the positive side, gross margins were the highest in the company's history and net cash increased sequentially to over $6 million.'' Doctor continued, ''We had a very successful National Association of Broadcasters show with Truevision products on prominent display in over 30 booths, including Avid, Discreet Logic, Microsoft, Panasonic, Sony and other leading companies.
