Brian, placer deposits don't lend themselves to drilling because there could be one nugget/ft3 that would be missed drilling. Trenching is used for those placer and gravel like deposits. The concern with trenching is that it has been historically abused as an easy scam technique through salting. Toss a few grains of gold in the dirt pile, whoop dee do. I haven't seen much on thread for chain of custody (COC). In the wake of Bre-x, nobody will believe anything except COC. Who's doing the COC for MINE?
